Netflix Uses Boulder Landscape For Movie Set In California

Social media is calling out Netflix's bluff.

BOULDER, CO — A new Netflix thriller that's set in California uses scenery that looks an awful lot like Boulder, and Coloradans aren't having it. The movie "Secret Obsession" shows an iconic picture of Boulder's Flatirons, and labels it 'Silverado Canyon, California - 100 Miles North of San Francisco.'

Twitter, Reddit and Facebook users have been calling out Netflix over its use of some of Colorado's most iconic scenery.

"Secret Obsession - a new Netflix movie - can’t fool us with their lies about this location!" one person tweeted.
