New Public Art Installation In Boulder Celebrates Immigration
The City of Boulder is celebrating Immigrant Heritage Month with a kick-off event and large art installation.
BOULDER, CO — Mayor Suzanne Jones and Congressman Joe Neguse will join the Boulder community June 17 for a kick-off event in celebration of Immigrant Heritage Month. The day-long event, which is one of dozens being held across the country, will feature a variety of multicultural performances, music and food. It will also include an interactive public art installation that celebrates immigrants from around the world.
The public art demonstration will include a large art piece that proudly displays I❤ BLDR. Participants are encouraged to share their immigrant heritage or that of a loved one by placing a flag sticker of their identified heritage(s) on the heart itself. Flags will be available on site.
The event will take place Monday, June 17, at 11 a.m. in front of the Boulder County Courthouse at 13th and Pearl Street. The event is free and open to the public.
