Section of North 95th Street To Close In Boulder County

North 95th Street will be closed between Ogallala and Oxford Roads this Saturday, officials announced.

BOULDER, CO — Boulder County crews will be reconstructing a 600-foot section of North 95th Street this weekend, and road closures have been announced. The street will fully close Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Ogallala Road on the north and Oxford Road on the south, officials said.

Detours will be in place at Pike Road on the north and Niwot Road on the south. The chosen detours are safer alternatives for crossing US 287 and CO 119/Diagonal Highway because there are traffic signals at the intersections, officials said.

  • on 95th Street between Pike and Ogallala roads, but no traffic will be allowed south of Ogallala Road.
  • on 95th between Oxford and Niwot roads, but no traffic will be allowed north of Oxford Road.

N. 95th will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, and delays of up to 10 minutes are expected, officials said. Other routes are advised.

The work is weather dependent, and schedules may change, officials said.

Crews will be removing two-feet of asphalt and road base from 600-feet of roadway to lower the road in preparation for the floodplain in the area.
