Caller Claims Explosive Devices In Boulder, But All-Clear Given
Boulder police investigated several suspicious packages, but no bomb threats were found and a shelter-in-place was lifted.

BOULDER, CO — A shelter-in-place order was lifted Thursday afternoon for the Pearl Street Mall area after possible bomb threats, Boulder police said. Several suspicious packages were under investigation, but no threats were found, police said.
Police were called to the Pearl Street Mall around 10:30 a.m. after someone claimed that multiple explosive devices with remote-controlled detonation were placed in the area, officials said. Investigators determined the claim was unfounded.
Everyone in and around Pearl Street Mall was asked to evacuate the area, and those who were inside buildings were asked to shelter in place.

More than seven law enforcement agencies — including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Colorado State Patrol — were called to the area to assist with the investigation.
The suspicious items were checked and there was no threat; however, out of an abundance of caution, dogs trained in explosives detection were clearing the area just after 1 p.m.
The shelter-in-place order was lifted just before 1:30 p.m., and all roads in the area were re-opened.
