BOULDER COUNTY, CO — While New Year’s Day doesn’t carry the typical culinary fanfare often boasted by Thanksgiving and Christmas, many people might be going the extra mile this year to say goodbye to 2020 and ring in what they hope will be a better year to come.

Whether you’re planning a big Zoom soiree with friends and need extra orange juice for mimosas, or throwing together a tasty New Year’s Day lunch with the family, most grocery stores in Boulder County will be open for the ingredients and snacks you may have forgotten.

Albertson’s: Most locations are open New Year’s Day. Call ahead to confirm hours.

Costco: Open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 31. Closed New Year’s Day.
