Two People Charged In Connection With Boulder Co. Car Thefts

On Saturday just after 11 a.m., Boulder County officials received a report of people throwing trash out of two cars.

BOULDER, CO – Two people have been charged in connection with vehicle thefts in Boulder County.

On Saturday just after 11 a.m., Boulder County officials received a report of people throwing trash out of two cars in the area of Driftwood Place and Kalua Road in unincorporated Boulder County.

The cars were identified as an older white Jeep and a silver Audi, both of which had been reported stolen by the Longmont Police Department.

Police responded to the area and found the Jeep, which was unoccupied. The Jeep was turned over to Longmont Police for processing.

As officials were leaving the area, the stolen silver Audi was found and stopped in the area of Twin Lakes Road and Brandon Creek Drive.

According to police, the driver of the Audi was taken into custody. A passenger ran away, but was later taken into custody by Boulder Police.

A third stolen vehicle was also found in the area where the passenger was taken into custody.

The driver of the stolen Audi, Logan Dodge, 25, was charged with three counts of aggravated motor vehicle theft, possession of burglary tools, vehicular eluding, criminal possession of a financial transaction device, criminal possession of identifying documents, reckless driving and driving under restraint.

The passenger was identified as Jesse Teneyck, 32, was charged with three counts of aggravated motor vehicle theft, possession of burglary tools, criminal possessino of a financial transaction device, criminal possession of identifying documents, violation of a protection order, violation of bond conditions, and warrant for failure to comply.
