Unique Valentine's Day Events In Boulder County 2019

May your day of love be filled with cheese, chocolate, a massage, and a trip to the roller derby.

BOULDER, CO -- Hoping to plan a Valentine's Day celebration that is unique, memorable, and full of the best that Boulder County has to offer? We have a list of local events that is sure to impress that special someone. Don't have a date? Don't worry. Many of the activities can be enjoyed solo or in a group of friends.

  • Stop by the Dragontree Spa to enjoy a foot massage alongside your sweetie — or treat yourself to an indulgent, candlelit treatment from the Dragontree's extensive menu. Check out their Facebook page before you head over for daily special deals.
  • Get a thrill at the Love Hurts roller derby match hosted by the Boulder County Bombers out at the fairgrounds on Nelson Road.
  • Check out the truffles at Piece, Love and Chocolate. Muse over your selections while indulging in a cup of homemade sipping chocolate and a slice of signature cake. Fill a custom box with everything from farm animal chocolates, liqueur-filled delights, or CU Buff-shaped truffaloes.
  • Celebrate your love of running by tying up your laces and joining Longmont's Shoes and Brews Valentine's Day edition social run. Head out for a custom-length jaunt on the St. Vrain trail before enjoying a half-price pint with friends. Every participant will also get a raffle ticket for a chance at some swag.
  • Fill your heart and your belly with a special Valentine's Day cheesemaking class at The Art of Cheese. Chevre, chocolate and champagne are all on the menu for the evening.
  • Let Opera on Tap sing sweet nothings into your ears at their Songs, Sweets, Love event in Lafayette. The music comes paired with Stam chocolates. As a bonus — this one is free to the public.
  • Get moving at a 1940's themed Valentine's dance at Louisville's Tri-City Elks Lodge. Live music will be provided by the Key of She. The evening will kick off with a quick class to teach you the steps of foxtrot and swing.
