New Broomfield Bike Park To Be Off Limits In June
Even though some enthusiasts have already been biking there, the entire park will be closed at the end of May - June for irrigation work.

BROOMFIELD, CO -- Even though it hasn't officially opened yet, Broomfield's new bike park in the McKay Lake Regional Park has drawn enthusiasts for months. The trails have been closed recently for muddy conditions, but the entire park will be seriously off-limits while irrigation is being installed, the bike park organizers said.
While the bike park has not officially opened yet, bikers have been getting an unofficial special preview by using the park's hills when weather permits, which with recent rain has not been the case.
But the entire Broomfield Bike Park will be closed/not rideable from May 21 through June 30 while irrigation work is underway, the group said.

The park will officially open in Summer of 2018. Until then, McKay Lake Regional Park is an active construction site, and there are no public restroom facilities.
During the irrigation construction, bike park trails will be capped with a special clay and sand mix.
