Broomfield Death: Lafayette Man, 61, Related To Man In Custody
Frank Licata, 61, of Lafayette was identified as the man killed in Broomfield in a domestic violence incident.

A 61-year-old Lafayette man was identified as the victim in a domestic violence death incident in Broomfield. Frank Licata died Jan. 18 in the 100 block of Agate Way. Nicholas James Licata, 33, is being held in Broomfield County jail facing charges of first-degree murder.
The coroner’s office of Broomfield and Adams counties has not yet released the manner and cause of death.
Details on the investigation are still unknown because the arrest affidavit for Nicholas Licata has been sealed by a judge, according to the Adams County District Attorney’s office.

Frank Licata owned a carpentry business in Lafayette and "was well-liked in the community," a report in the Broomfield Enterprise said. Nicholas Licata and his spouse have owned a home at 111 Agate way for three years, according to property records.
Police responded to the Broomfield home around 8:40 a.m. on Jan. 18 to a domestic violence call.

"There are no threats to citizens," police tweeted. Police said the family affected had "asked for privacy during this difficult time."
