Broomfield Girl Scouts Seek Adult Camp Volunteers

Adults who pass a background check can get free tuition for their Girl Scouts at Interlocken Park and Arvada camps next summer.

BROOMFIELD, CO – Do you miss those carefree summer-camp days? Can you be a mentor and example to Girl Scouts this summer?

Adult volunteers are needed to help run two week-long Girl Scout camps in Broomfield and Arvada in summer 2019. No experience is necessary, but adults need to be registered by Oct. 31 and have a background check completed by Jan. 1, 2019.

The number of girls who can attend the camps will depend on the number of adult volunteers the scouts can drum up, Rebecca Lankford posted on the local Girl Scout news blog.

"We can only register as many girls as we have the safety checkpoint number of adult:girl ratio," she wrote. "Your child can attend our camps for free if you volunteer for the entire week of camp!"

All adult registrations must be in by October 31, 2018 to be considered for next summer.
