Broomfield Police K-9 Henk Retires After 7 Years Of Service
Henk will "now spend the remainder of his life relaxing by the fire and sleeping in the shade," Broomfield police said.

BROOMFIELD, CO — After seven years of dedicated service with the Broomfield Police Department, the K-9 Henk has retired. A retirement ceremony was held to celebrate Henk's achievement.
His handler, Broomfield Police Officer Danielle Faczak, was also honored. She's been working with the K-9 for his whole law enforcement career.
"He was retired due to his age, and will now spend the remainder of his life relaxing by the fire and sleeping in the shade," the Broomfield Police Department said in a social media post.

Henk knew commands in three languages and was great with children, said Jennifer Rios with the Broomfield Enterprise. He was also known for his tracking skills.

Members of the Littleton, Arvada and Thornton police departments attended Henk's retirement ceremony. The Adams County Sheriff's Office also attended.
