Broomfield Police Warn Of Stolen Bikes
Broomfield police are urging owners to register their bicycles.
BROOMFIELD, CO — The Broomfield Police Department is warning people to register their bicycles and take photos of them after an uptick in thefts. The department posted a warning on social media Tuesday.
"Riding your bike to work? The pool? A friend's house? We've taken quite a few reports recently for stolen bikes," police said in the post. "Whether it's your kids Paw Patrol bike or your thousand dollar road bike ... make sure to take photos of it and register it."
Taking a photo and registering your bicycle will help police find it faster if it gets stolen, the department said.
