Broomfield Teens: Turn In Your Vape For A FREE Recreation Pass
No questions and no judgment, just drop off your vape device June 3 and pick up your three-month pass.

BROOMFIELD, CO – If you're a teen and want to spend the summer getting in shape instead of hitting the vape, the parks department has an offer you can't refuse.
Turn in your vaping device at the Paul Derda Rec Center on June 3 between 6-9 p.m. in exchange for a FREE three-month recreation pass.
These passes are offered with "No questions and no judgment, just drop off your vape and pick up your pass," according to the park district.

Colorado leads the nation in youth use of vapor products, with 27 percent of teens currently vaping, according to the Colorado Department of Health and Environment. In Broomfield and Boulder counties, 36 percent of teens reported vaping in a recent study. Broomfield Public Health and Environment staff are partnering with schools and youth-serving organizations to educate the community about the risks of vaping.
Tobacco use is the number one preventable cause of death and disease in the U.S., including Colorado, according to the health department. It causes cancer, heart disease and emphysema, harms reproductive health, and damages nearly every organ in the human body.
