Burglar Hospitalized After Fight With Resident: Sheriff
A resident in Superior confronted a burglar and held him until authorities arrived, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said.
BOULDER COUNTY, CO — A man who was attempting a burglary in Superior Monday was injured by a resident during a confrontation, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said. Two residents said they found the man breaking into a vehicle in their garage just after 3 a.m. in the 1900 block of East Coalton.
One of the residents confronted the man and fought with him, authorities said. The man was injured and the residents were able to hold onto him until deputies arrived, the sheriff's office said.
A second suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

The man who attempted the burglary was identified as Justin Huckleby Kraay, 34, the sheriff's office said. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being transported and booked into the Boulder County Jail.

Kraay was charged with second degree burglary, vehicle trespass and theft, authorities said.
