Colorado's 2019 Hay Directory Links Growers To Hungry Livestock

The Colorado Dept. of Agriculture urges hay and grass farmers to join the yearly directory.

BROOMFIELD, CO -- Hay is for horses, but only if their owners know where to get some of the delicious scratchy grass. The Colorado Department of Agriculture and your livestock pals are hoping that Colorado's hay producers get the word out by buying a dirt-cheap listing in the 2019 Colorado Hay Directory. The department's annual publication connects hay producers with buyers.

“This publication continues to be a great way for Colorado producers to promote their hay,” said Wendy White, marketing specialist for the Colorado Department of Agriculture. “The directory reaches hay buyers across the state and the nation.”

The listing fee is $25, and the deadline is June 14, 2019. Forms are available at Colorado State University Extension offices or by contacting the Colorado Department of Agriculture.

The directory will be available in August at CSU Extension offices and various horse and livestock associations in the state as well as at agricultural events including the Colorado State Fair, National Western Stock Show and the Colorado Farm Show. The directory will also be posted online at www.coloradoagriculture.com/hay.
