ACROSS COLORADO –The 65th annual Fortune 500 list is out, and while the usual colossal corporations dominated the top of the list, 24 companies from Colorado were included.

Why is the Fortune 500 a big deal? Because Fortune 500 companies represent two-thirds of the U.S. gross domestic product with $13.7 trillion in revenues, $1.1 trillion in profits, $22.6 million in market value and they employ 28.7 million people worldwide.

The top companies all are household names and Walmart topped the list for the seventh straight year. But you might not be familiar with all of the companies headquartered in Colorado.
