Scholarship Deadline For Broomfield Medical Award
Students from Broomfield who are pursuing post-grad medical training can apply for a scholarship through the Broomfield Foundation.

BROOMFIELD, CO – Students studying advanced medicine, to be either doctors or nurses, can get a little help from the Broomfield Community Foundation through the Jean and Bill Markel Medical Scholarship.
The $1,000 scholarship is available to students in the following: Post-graduate training for a medical student studying pediatrics or family practice; post-graduate training for a student studying to be a Physician's Assistant or a third or fourth year Nursing student that is focusing on Clinical Nursing.
Applicants must have attended high school in Broomfield or lived in Broomfield during high school years.
The scholarship is named for longtime Broomfield residents Jean and Bill Merkel, who moved to Broomfield in 1958 after Bill left the Army Medical Corps, a press statement said.

- Cody Steven Oser Legacy Scholarship This scholarship creates a legacy for Cody Steven Oser who was an incredible young man. Cody, a Civil Engineering graduate from Colorado State University, died while serving in the Peace Corps in Panama on April 8, 2017. This scholarship will be for engineering students at CSU.
- Christopher Reagan Memorial Scholarship In memory of Chris Reagan who was a Legacy High School senior, and 4-year starter on Legacy’s soccer team, but passed away in a car accident in the fall of 2008.
- George DiCiero Scholarship Established to honor Mr. DiCiero’s long and dedicated service as City Manager of Broomfield.
- Kim Wilkerson Memorial Scholarship A donor advised fund awarded annually to a Broomfield High math student.
- Jack Reynolds Thespian Scholarship Thespian scholarship for a Broomfield High School student.
- Jimmy Griffin Memorial Scholarship In memory of Jimmy Griffin, a Legacy High School junior and football player.
- Little Wonders Art Scholarship Fund Donor Advised Fund to provide learning opportunities for the visual and performing arts.
