HEALTH & FITNESS INDUSTRY'S FASTED GROWING WELLNESS MOVEMENT COMES TO COLORADO

With 65 locations throughout the U.S., Stretch Zone, the largest practitioner-assisted and only nationally-accredited professional stretch studio franchise in the country, is making its way to Colorado with its first location at 2255 West 136th Avenue in Broomfield, Colorado. Founded in Miami, Florida in 2004, Stretch Zone is scheduled to open in Broomfield on February 25.

Owned by Thornton resident, physical therapist and wellness advocate, Amy Nehrke, Stretch Zone focuses on a scientific approach to stretching to increase clients’ range of motion as well as the quality of the body’s movements. Stretch Zone practitioners work with the body’s stretch reflex using patented Stretch Zone equipment, following specific methods and protocols to properly position, stabilize, isolate and manipulate muscles.

“The great benefit of Stretch Zone’s practitioner-assisted stretch methodology is the ability to help people increase their range of motion through a safe and proven fitness method,” said Amy Nehrke. “Professional stretching has been around for years, mostly used by athletes. Now everyone can benefit.”

Stretch Zone practitioners work one-on-one with clients through a series of personalized stretches and movements performed on stretching tables using a patented strap stabilization system. The 1,400 square foot Broomfield studio features five stretching tables and will employ eight trained stretch practitioners.

A physical therapist with a passion for helping people, Nehrke knows first-hand the benefits of stretching. “Making professional stretching easily accessible is the biggest movement taking place now in the health and fitness industry, and the benefits are immense.” continued Nehrke. “From day one, clients will experience stress reduction and relief from stiffness and soreness. Enhancement of physical and athletic skills, imbalance correction, an increase in range of motion and compensational shifts will also take place. I am very excited to serve the local community to support their overall wellness and improve their quality of life.”
