Strut Your Parade Stuff At Broomfield Days This Weekend
Carnival rides, food, dancing and entertainment on the schedule for Broomfield's end-of-summer shindig.
BROOMFIELD, CO – The 2018 Broomfield Days Festival takes place this weekend Friday, Sept. 14 through Saturday, Sept. 15 at Midway Park.
The event is the official end-of the-summer shindig with a parade, the Mayor's 5K, pancake breakfast and the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce trade fair along with carnival rides, an arts and craft festival, food booths and three entertainment stages.
New this year will be a Broomfield Days Street Dance sponsored by Senior Resources of Broomfield. Between 6- 10:30 p.m. Friday, the dance will feature two bands, a beer garden, food trucks and lots of dancing.

Saturday begins with the ever-popular Broomfield Lions Club Pancake Breakfast from 7 - 10 a.m. at the Girl Scout Shelter. ($8 over 13, $5 for 6- 12 years, and ages 5 and under, free).
This year's parade kicks off from Main Street and Midway Boulevard, arriving at Midway Park at approximately 10 a.m. This year's grand marshals are Bob and Karen Davis.

Carnival rides, food booths and fun will be
The 9th annual Bow Wow Broomfield area will include dog demonstrations, lure chasing, pet booths, and the National Dock Dogs doggy diving event Saturday and Sunday in Midway Park.
"Zero Waste" is the city's goal this year. Eighteen "Green Zone" waste stations will be available to recycle your trash. More than 150 volunteers have been trained to divide waste materials into the correct bins.
"All participating vendors agree to recycle and/or compost their waste and provide earth-friendly handouts and compostable service ware," said a memo from City & County Manager Charles Ozaki.
