Colorado Springs School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Colorado Springs is August 17. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Colorado Springs School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/18: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)

• 10/2: Official Count Day
• 10/13: End of First Quarter
• 10/16: No School for Students (Teacher Work Day)
• 10/17: Start of Second Quarter
• 10/26 - 10/27: No School for Students (Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conferences)

November

• 11/20 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/15: End of Second Quarter, End of First Semester
• 12/18 - 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
