Colorado Springs Seeks Volunteers For Parks, Recreation And Cultural Services Advisory Board

Members must be residents of the City of Colorado Springs and may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The City of Colorado Springs is seeking applications to fill one opening for a three-year term on the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Advisory Board and two or three alternate positions. Members must be residents of the City of Colorado Springs and may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms. The time commitment required is about five hours per month. Board members meet the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Please complete the online application at ColoradoSprings.gov/boards and upload your resume under the upload function at the bottom of the application. The Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Advisory Board has nine members appointed by City Council and a maximum of three alternates. As an advisory body to council on parks and recreation resources within the City, the board holds a monthly public meeting to review matters pertaining to the planning, development, improvement, beautification, equipping and maintenance of the public parks, playgrounds, programs, urban forest, recreation facilities and resources, including golf courses, cemeteries and Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain.
