Maureen Carter joins CSI DMC as vice president of national sales for the West Coast region bringing with her more than a decade of client relations and meeting management, with her most recent role as national sales director of the five-star, five-diamond resort, The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During her 14-year tenure at The Broadmoor, Carter held a number of positions including employee relations and communications manager, executive meeting manager and sales manager.

While at The Broadmoor, she was awarded Employee of the Year in 2006; nominated for Manager of the Quarter in 2007 and 2009; nominated for Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association Employee of the Year in 2007; and awarded Goal Buster of the Year in 2015 and 2017. In March 2019, Carter was recognized at the Conference Direct Annual Partner Meeting in Atlanta, as Independent Hotel Person of the Year too.

Carter graduated from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in speech communication. Before entering the hospitality industry, she spent five years in Washington, D.C. where she held a variety of positions in the United States House of Representatives, including legislative assistant and press secretary. Carter’s love of the Rocky Mountains drew her back to Colorado, where she resides with her two daughters.
