In addition to the savings and package options noted above, overnight guests also have the option of participating in three special events that showcase the best of the fall season and Ranch life. Add-on events include:

September 27-November 10

Elk Bugling Tours

Every fall, mature bull elks show off their impressive antlers, flaunt their strong physiques, and distinctively bellow, bark, whistle, and grunt to attract a harem of cow elk! Although the bull elk may bugle throughout the day, dawn and dusk are the ideal times to gather your own herd to see this seasonal spectacle.

Times: 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Cost: Complimentary for lodging guests

September 28

Cattle Branding Retreat

Overnight guests can enjoy a special add-on experience with a day-in-the-life of a wrangler, including the opportunity to participate in a cattle drive, learn, and experience the Ranch’s special branding and vaccinating process, plus enjoy a classic ranch-style barbecue.

Times: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: $299/person for lodging guests; $199 add-on for Relax & Play package guests

October 5

Cell Phone Photography Hike

While the Ranch is all about teching-down, there is a time and place to capture those special moments to share with loved ones near and far. While a fancy photo app may help improve cell phone photo quality, there is more to capturing a great image than meets the eye. Participants will start with some classroom time to get tips on composition, basic controls in taking and adjusting photos once shot, and editing software options. The morning concludes with a hands-on photo shoot around the Ranch with a professional photographer and instructor.

Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Cost: $70/person (overnight lodging as well as Relax & Play Package guests)
