Hadassah Boulder is offering a free, private, docent-led tour via Zoom of the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC on Sunday, May 23rd at 11:15 AM,(MST) The guided tour will highlight people of the Jewish faith who have shaped Jewish history and culture. The tour will be led by Lorna Grenadier, a long time NPG docent and history maven. The cultural event is free and open to the public. Hadassah Boulder President Doris Weiss states, “The National Portrait Gallery, which is part of The Smithsonian, houses and impressive collection of nearly 23,000 works of art. This virtual guided interactive tour will give viewers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view these portraits more closely and to explore the lives of the portrait sitters in greater depth than possible in a traditional, crowded museum setting. Our docent, Lorna Grenadier, will surprise you with some startling discoveries.”
