Officers Removed Trash Can Lid From Colorado Elk's Neck

Officers with Colorado Parks & Wildlife were able to tranquilize the elk and remove the lid without causing any harm.

EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) – Colorado wildlife officers came to the aid of an elk with a trash can lid around its neck. Multiple people reported seeing the animal near the rodeo grounds in Evergreen.

Officers with Colorado Parks & Wildlife were finally able to catch up to the elk and tranquilize it and remove the lid without causing any harm.
