Snake Bite In Ute Valley Park: Woman Airlifted To Hospital
A woman was airlifted to a hospital and given anti-venom drugs after being bitten by a snake while hiking in northwest Colorado Springs.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- A woman was airlifted to a hospital Monday after being bitten by a snake in a park northwest of Colorado Springs. The woman was bitten around 11:30 a.m. in Ute Valley Park. Another hiker assisted and applied a tourniquet while waiting for emergency help, according to reports on KKTV.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department said she was airlifted to a Penrose Hospital, where she was given anti-venom drugs. Emergency workers closed off the park until 1:30 p.m., when access was again allowed.
It was unknown which species of snake bit her.
