Spoof Active Shooter Threat At Coronado HS: Colo. Springs PD
A Coronado HS student stole another student's phone and called in a prank threat, CSPD reported.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- An anonymous called claiming there was an active shooter at Coronado High School Wednesday turned out to be a student prankster, Colorado Springs police reported. The school at 1590 W Fillmore St. was placed on lockdown as officers were dispatched to the school.
The school resource officer at the school "got on the air and let everyone know that he was on school grounds and that there wasn’t an obvious active shooter situation," CSPD said in a statement. Nevertheless, the SRO and campus security guards searched the whole campus.
When police traced the call, they found a student stole another student's phone and called in the fake threat.
