Cherry Creek Holiday Market Sees 7K Visitors So Far
Under strict protocols, many are visiting Cherry Creek North for a holiday light walk, an outdoor market and a light art installation.
CHERRY CREEK, CO — The Cherry Creek North 'Winter Wanderland' has opened with strict coronavirus precautions in place. Because the vendors and events are outdoors, organizers are able to adhere to public health guidelines using a reservation system and gathering caps.
The Winter Wanderland includes a 16-block walk with more than half a million lights — many of which are choreographed to music.
In Cherry Creek's Gart Plaza, an art installation — Prismatica — features colorful, pivoting prisms.

The Denver Miracle Bar has also joined the event and will be offering cocktails, festive glassware and gifts to-go through Dec. 20. The holiday pop-up bar, which looks like a giant ice chest, features multiple TV screens, holiday inflatables and lighted trees.

The market features a variety of local artisans and vendors for holiday shopping — view a list of vendors here.
The market is open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Entry to the event is free, but reservations are encouraged as market capacity is limited.
The market was created by the market-organizing company Fetch, formerly known as the Denver Flea. The company has launched a new 'Home for the Holidays' campaign to highlight vendors.
"We hope this initiative will encourage more people to shop small, even if they can’t join us in person,” said Blake Adams, owner of Fetch.
“Our community is reaching a critical moment. Businesses are having to choose whether to push forward or close up shop - and that’s not a decision they want to be making. When it comes to gift shopping, we need to look around us and give back to the people right here in Colorado.”

On Dec. 13, Chabad of Cherry Creek will host a community Menorah Lighting celebration on the Sunday of Chanukah with hot latkes, sing-a-longs, donuts and dreidels.
Winter Wanderland and the Cherry Creek Holiday Market are operating under strict COVID-19 guidelines, organizers said. Every visitor is asked to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing rules. Market visitors are also being asked about some basic information to assist with contact tracing, organizers said.
