Colorado Opens 5th Community Vaccination Site

A state community vaccination site opened Wednesday in Larimer County.

LARIMER COUNTY, CO — Colorado opened its fifth community vaccination site Wednesday in Larimer County. The site is run in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The new clinic opened in the Ranch Events Complex, at 5280 Arena Circle in Loveland.

Gov. Jared Polis visited the site Wednesday to celebrate the grand opening.

“I was glad to join the opening of our northern Colorado community vaccination site," Polis said in a statement. "The state is proud to partner with FEMA at the Ranch Events Complex to get more shots into arms and work to end the pandemic in Colorado.

“Sites like this one will play an integral role in distributing this lifesaving vaccine to all Coloradans who want one. Each dose administered means we are all a day closer towards returning back to our Colorado way of life.”

Colorado has also launched community vaccination sites in Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Commerce City, and Grand Junction.

If you are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, you can register for an appointment at the new Larimer County clinic here.

Coloradans ages 50 and older, as well as people ages 16 to 49 with one high-risk health condition, are eligible to receive the vaccine under Phase 1B.4:

Every Coloradan is expected to become eligible for vaccination by May, depending on federal supply, Gov. Jared Polis announced earlier this month.
