Colorado Opens 6th Community Vaccination Site At Ball Arena
A state community vaccination site opened Wednesday at the Ball Arena.
DENVER, CO — Colorado opened its sixth community vaccination site Thursday at the Ball Arena in Denver. The site is run in partnership with the healthcare provider TrueCare24.
The site is offering more than 1,000 vaccines per day, but it will have the ability to scale to 6,000 vaccinations per day once there is enough supply, state public health officials said.
“I’m thrilled to launch the final of six State Community Vaccination Sites here at the Ball Arena,” Governor Jared Polis said in a statement.

“Once at full capacity, these sites will be able to vaccinate tens of thousands of Coloradans each week, playing a critical role as eligibility opens up to everyone 16 and older. The light at the end of that tunnel continues getting brighter, and if everyone gets vaccinated when it is their turn, then Colorado will be able to recover stronger, and more quickly.”
The site will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can register for the clinic here.

“I want to thank Gov. Polis and the State for their work to set up this mass vaccination site here in Denver," Mayor Michael Hancock said.
"The more vaccines we can get into more people’s arms as quickly as we can, the sooner we can put this pandemic behind us. This site at Ball Arena will mean thousands of vaccines getting into the arms of Coloradans, and will be key to helping all of us move from rescue to recovery."
Colorado has also launched community vaccination sites in Adams County, Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Commerce City, and Grand Junction.
All Coloradans ages 16 and older are now eligible to receive their vaccines.
