Denver Is One Of Top U.S. Cities For Active Renters: Report
A new report ranks the best cities for renters who want to get fit and have an active lifestyle.
If you're renting a place in Denver and plan to get in peak physical condition in time for summer, you're in luck — the city is one of the best places in the United States for active renters, according to a new RentCafé report. Denver is known for its apartment building fitness amenities.
Denver ranks 2nd among the country’s Best Large Cities for Active Renters, according to RentCafé. A total of 71 percent of its apartment buildings are equipped with a fitness amenity. The city is outranked only by Austin, Texas.
While renting in buildings with gyms may cost more, the price difference in Denver is $80 per month above the city average rent — an increase that most renters are willing to pay, according to the renter survey.

Among smaller cities in Colorado, however, Denver ranks No. 5 in the state. Westminster took the top spot, followed by Fort Collins, Englewood and Littleton respectively.

Westminster has fitness amenities in 77 percent of apartment buildings. The price difference between an apartment in a building with a gym and the average rent in the city is only $34 in the city.
