Denver Vaccination Progress Update: May 4

More than 2.6 million Coloradans have received at least their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, according to state data.

In Denver, around 62 percent of residents have received at least their first dose of the vaccine, and 44 percent are fully immunized.

The state's vaccination data dashboard shows which Colorado counties have the highest vaccination rates per 100,000 people:

Percent of residents vaccinated with at least one dose:

• Broomfield: 70.7 percent
• Boulder County: 67.2 percent
• Jefferson County: 65.8 percent
• Douglas County: 60.3 percent
• Arapahoe County: 53.9 percent
• Adams County: 51.8 percent

Outside Denver's metro area, Eagle (70.9 percent) and Summit (72.9 percent) counties have some of the highest vaccination rates in the state.

More than 1,300 health care providers and clinics in Colorado are offering vaccines.

Some counties have higher rates due to higher populations of people ages 60 and older, and front-line workers. And some eligible Coloradans are choosing to hold off on getting vaccinated.
