Denver's Paco Sanchez Park Phase II Opens: Photos
Take a look at Denver's new 'Re-Imagine Play' park, which features a "vibrant color palette to reflect the spirit of the neighborhood."

DENVER, CO — Many makeovers continue at Paco Sanchez Park in west Denver — the park has a new basketball court, a skate park, an updated parking lot, public art, a walking loop and many other features.
The latest revamp is part of Phase II of the park's upgrades, which aim to encourage community gatherings, festivals and live music performances — that is, when the coronavirus pandemic subsides.
The 30-acre park, just west of Federal Boulevard and south of Colfax Avenue, is named in honor of Colorado state legislator, television personality and Spanish radio station owner, Francisco "Paco" Sanchez.

Phase I of the project, completed in 2018, included a 'play plateau' area and portions of the park's play loop.
The renovations, which are funded by an Elevate Denver Bond project, are following the 'Re-Imagine Play' park design — a colorful, modern playground that encourages people of all ages to be active.
