LeafDrop Program Returns To Denver Through December

Here's how to get free compostable leaf bags.

DENVER — In September, Patch told Denver-area residents when to look out for the best fall foliage. But, by now, trees around Denver are deep into fall and beginning to drop leaves in droves.

Luckily Denver Recycles' annual LeafDrop has returned to help residents cope with the influx of leaves, and this year it comes with a perk.

Those who head to the City of Denver's website can download a coupon to obtain five compostable 30-gallon paper bags that can be used to streamline the LeafDrop process.

Residents must simply fill their paper bags and take them to one of the city's free LeafDrop sites.

Weekday drop sites are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Weekday drop off is offered between Oct. 5 and Dec. 4.
