Merryhill Preschool Students Donate Winter Clothing Items
Students donated winter clothing, toiletries and food items for Denver's Take This and Keep Warm event to benefit those in need
Students at Merryhill Preschool in Castle Rock recently donated clothing, toiletries and food items to benefit those who are homeless in the Denver area. Students and families donated clothing items to help those in need stay warm during the winter months, including hats, scarves, gloves, jackets, blankets, socks and boots. Students helped to load the items into boxes to be delivered to Denver’s Take This and Keep Warm event. As a symbol of the students’ gratitude for warm clothes and a safe place to stay each night, Merryhill Preschool also hosted a pajama day. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
Denver’s Take This and Keep Warm event is held annually in Civic Center Park in Denver, where hundreds of winter clothing items, such as scarves, hats and coats, are placed on trees as gifts to those in the community who are in need of warm clothing items.
