The Rockies will look to stock up on young talent in the upcoming 2021 MLB Draft.

DENVER, CO — Colorado Rockies fans can get a glimpse of what the future may hold with the 2021 MLB Draft beginning on Sunday.
The Rockies have the No. 8 selection in the draft. The Pittsburgh Pirates will select first in the draft, followed by the Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles.
Marcelo Mayer, a shortstop from Eastlake High School in California, is rated as the No. 1 draft prospect by MLB.com. Jack Leiter, a pitcher from Vanderbilt University, and Jordan Lawlar, a shortstop from Jesuit College Prep in Texas, are the next highest-rated draft prospects.
