2 Shot In US Marshals Action in Southwest Denver
Police said as U.S. Marshals were making an attempted arrest, an officer shot a man and woman in the Valverde neighborhood.

DENVER, CO –A man and woman were injured around 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 when U.S. Marshals, attempting to execute a warrant, shot into their car, Denver police said.
The incident happened in the 200 block of South Canosa Court, in the Valverde neighborhood.
No officers were wounded in the incident.

Both people were taken to a hospital, where they were listed critical condition.
Although Denver police are in charge of the investigation, DPD Spokesman Doug Schepman said few details were immediately available. He said the man was wanted on a federal parole violation, and that the arrest attempt was not related to immigration enforcement.
