RTD Quiet Zone Meetings To Be Hosted In Denver, Arvada
Anyone who has questions about the G Line and A Line quiet zones can attend meetings in Arvada and Denver.
DENVER, CO — Residents who live near the G Line or A Line are invited to local Regional Transportation District open houses to gather information about quiet zones. The meetings will help to clarify why train horns are still heard in the so-called quiet zones.
The G Line to Arvada and Wheat Ridge opened in April and the A Line runs from downtown Denver to Denver International Airport.
The designated zones are areas along the routes where train operators don't have to routinely sound their horns at crossings; however, they can use horns if additional safety precautions are needed.
