United Airlines Adds 3 New Cities From Denver Int'l Airport
Flights include brand-new service to Sioux City, IA and Rochester, MN.

DENVER, CO—Three new destinations are coming to Denver International Airport in the fall.
Beginning Oct. 1, United Express flights, operated by SkyWest, will begin flights between Denver and Alamosa, Colorado (ALS) and Rochester, Minnesota (RST).
Flights to Sioux City, Iowa (SUX) will begin on Oct. 14.

Service to Rochester and Sioux City will be operated once per day; flights to Alamosa will operate 12 times per week.
“The expansion by United in Denver is positive news and speaks to the strength of our domestic network,” said DEN CEO Kim Day. “Given international travel restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, investment in DEN’s domestic network is more important now than ever. We look forward to the upcoming launch of these new flights.”

SkyWest will operate these flights as United Express. Service to all three cities will be aboard 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) aircraft, where every seat is an aisle or window. Customers may also accrue United Mileage Plus miles and gain access to United’s worldwide network.
“We are looking forward to the start of our new United Express flights in Denver and know our passengers can fly with confidence thanks to the additional measures being taken on every flight,” said Greg Atkin, SkyWest’s managing director of Market Development. “From enhanced cleaning, mandatory face coverings and customer self-assessments with check-in, we remain committed to the health and safety of all onboard our aircraft.”
Rochester is a market that has never had nonstop service to Denver. Home of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester is the third-largest city in Minnesota.

Sioux City was briefly served nonstop from Denver by Frontier Airlines in the summer of 2014. Located in the northwest corner of the state, Sioux City is the fourth-largest city in Iowa.
Service to Alamosa falls under the Essential Air Service program administered by the U.S. Department of Transportation.
