Denver-based non-profit The InteRoots Initiative holding virtual summit in June highlighting work of partner organizations

DENVER - Colorado-based nonprofit The InteRoots Initiative is proud to announce its second annual upcoming Global Summit, highlighting updates from community-driven projects in the U.S. and Uganda.
The InteRoots Initiative’s Rooted & Rising Global Summit will be held virtually starting at 11 a.m. MST on Saturday, June 5.
This is the second year for the Global Summit, which brings together community members from across the world.
This year’s event will feature the below community-driven initiatives in meaningful expression and dialogue:
- TaSCA Project & Peace Africa Children’s Ensemble: The Kasasa community in Uganda has been preparing for the TaSCA project, which combines a secondary school, savings and credit cooperative and performing arts facilities. All facilities are expected to be completed this year.
- Where Warriors Wake: An Indigenous collective that seeks to offer Indigenous community members, particularly youth, access to culture, arts, health and wellness, and food sovereignty programming.
- Organize to Mobilize: A group of committed mobilizers dedicated to systemic change around solving social mobile issues.
Scott Frank, executive director of The InteRoots Initiative, said:
“We are thrilled to be offering this programming for the second annual Global Summit. Rooted & Rising will highlight the important work being done in communities both regionally, nationally and internationally.”
