DENVER, CO — Many services, agencies and government offices in Denver will be closed on Monday.

The mayor's office, city council offices, clerk and recorder's office, auditor's office and most city agencies will be closed in Denver.

What's open, closed in Denver on Monday

  • Denver Health - open
  • Trash, recycling and compost collection - will not be collected Monday. Collection will be delayed one day the remainder of the week.
  • Parking meters - Parking meters are free on Sundays and on recognized city holidays, and will be free Monday. Drivers are reminded to observe the time restrictions posted, officials said.
  • Denver's 311 Information line - closed; service requests can be submitted over your phone at Pocketgov or online here.
  • Denver Recreation Centers - all city centers will be closed Monday.
  • Denver Animal Shelter - open
  • City-owned golf facilities - open, weather permitting.
  • Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater - open

Businesses

  • Costco: All Costco locations are open on July 5
  • Dollar General: Dollar General is open, but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.
  • King Soopers: Most stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.
  • Safeway: Most stores are expected to be open — check with your neighborhood store for possible adjusted hours.
  • Sam's Club: Sam's Club locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Plus members, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for club members.
  • Target: Target locations are open. Store hours will depend on your neighborhood location.
  • Trader Joe's: Stores will be open during regular hours.
  • Walmart: Walmart stores will be open during regular local hours.
  • Whole Foods: Most Colorado stores will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.
