2 Teens With Sex-Offender Convictions Escape From Golden Facility

Two juvenile inmates were found missing from Lookout Mountain Youth Detention Center on Monday morning.

GOLDEN, CO – Golden police asked for the public's help to find two teens who escaped overnight from the Lookout Mountain Youth Detention Center in Golden. Police said the young men were discovered missing from their shared cell around 5:20 a.m. and staff found a dumpster turned on its side and sheets hanging out of a broken window on the second floor of the building.

Javier Madera, 19, is 5'10" tall and weighs 147 pounds. He has a skull tattoo on his right forearm. Police say he was convicted as a sex offender and has gang affiliations. His last known address was in Commerce City.

Seventeen-year-old Emilio Dominguez is 5'9" tall and weighs 182 pounds, police said. He has the following tattoos: the word "King" is tattooed on his right hand, and roses and last name Dominguez on his right arm. Police said Dominguez is a violent sex offender with gang affiliations, and was also charged with intimidating witnesses. Dominguez has family in Denver.
