JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO – If you're traveling in Jefferson County or planning to visit any JeffCo Open Spaces this weekend, give yourself time to make way for speeding cyclists.

The Colorado Classic cycling race will close down roads and slow traffic throughout Jefferson County Saturday, as the Mens' Stage 3 racers ride a 100-mile circuit from Denver's Velorama Festival into the foothills and back into Denver's RiNo neighborhood.

The race begins in Denver around 10:30 a.m., and will take a circuit along West 29th Avenue in Wheat Ridge, then travel on West 32nd Avenue through downtown Golden, and up-and-down Lookout Mountain. Racers will the complete a loop through Red Rocks, past Conifer and Evergreen along Hwy. 74 and County Road 73, then return to Denver through West Lakewood along Alameda Parkway, up Sims Street and then back east through Wheat Ridge.
