On a wet and messy spring day in early 1976 George traveled with Museum founder Robert “Bob” W. Richardson and 4 other Museum volunteers to Strasburg, CO. They had heard rumors of test runs being conducted for the newly built 15″ gauge replica K-27 of Steam Locomotive No. 463. The footage includes a view filmed from the tinder and a glimpse of the Strasburg Depot before it was moved. The locomotive was shipped to the McCormick Railroad Park in May or June of 1976 and was most recently photographed in Strasburg in 2009.
