About Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa

3530 County Road 83 | Tabernash, CO 80478 | 970.726.5632 | devilsthumbranch.com

Easy to reach from Denver (65 miles west) and seemingly a million miles away nestled among 6,000 acres of Colorado wilderness is Devil’s Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa, ranked among the top eco-friendly hotels in the world by Travel + Leisure Magazine and the International Conservancy and top three cross country ski resorts by USA Today. Here, modern-day, low tech indulgences are met with a kind and thoughtful heart for the environment and the area’s history, which pays tribute to the Arapahoe and Ute Native American Tribes, as well as western cowboy heritage and Nordic sports.

Accommodations include two lodges, 15 eco-luxe ridge-top log cabins with additional sister-property options in nearby Winter Park, including Vasquez Creek Inn and Trailhead Inn. On-site Ranch amenities, services and recreation options include 18,000 sq. ft. Ranch Creek Spa, horseback riding and seasonally based hay/sleigh rides, ziplining, fly-fishing, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding and hiking (summer); cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat tire biking plus year-round yoga and Spa Enrichment Series classes. A full-service retail, rental shop and Activities Center provides a wealth of outdoor wilderness adventures at this year-round ranch, resort, spa, corporate retreat, and weddings destination.

Dining at the two on-site restaurants, Heck’s and Ranch House Restaurant, is sustainably focused and local whenever possible, with private dining options in John L’s Wine Cellar and Grotto Suraboza. From contemporary American Ranch fare at Heck’s in the Main Lodge to the more refined “from the earth and sea” and ever-changing, seasonally focused menu at Ranch House Restaurant, diners can create dining experiences that range from healthy to indulgent, including Wine Spectator Best of Awards wine lists for the past four years, a coveted honor bestowed upon just 1,250 restaurants worldwide.
