Golden 2019 Municipal Election: How To Vote
Golden voters will be electing a mayor and councilors for Districts One and Two Nov. 5.
GOLDEN, CO — Golden voters will be choosing their next mayor and who fills two seats on city council Tuesday. Voters will also help determine the outcomes of two important statewide ballot questions.
Voters began receiving ballots Oct. 14, and Oct. 28 was the last day to return ballots via mail; however ballots can be returned to drop boxes and polling centers in Jefferson County.
Voters can also register and pick up a ballot in person at voter service and polling centers. Voter registration can be checked at Go Vote Colorado.

Dropped off ballots must be sealed in the official return envelope and placed in a ballot box in Jefferson County by 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Golden City Council includes seven members:
- A mayor elected at-large.
- Four council members are elected from wards.
- Two council members are elected from districts (each district is comprised of two wards – district one includes wards one and two and district two includes wards three and four).
The mayoral election is held every four years. The mayor and council members are elected to four-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms.
