Golden Weekend Weather: Mostly Nice, Storms Near

This weekend should be mostly nice, but potential storms in Park County will threaten the area a bit.

GOLDEN, CO — Most of the Denver metro area is expected to see nice weather much of the weekend, with high temperatures in the 80s and low temperatures in the 60s. Storms in Park County caused the National Weather Service to issue a hazardous weather outlook to the area, but the chances of them affecting the metro area too much are unlikely.

The hazardous weather outlook warns of afternoon and evening thunderstorms in Park County. Meteorologists predict potential strong wind gusts up to 40 mph and small hail. There may be flash flooding in the Western Pass burn scar if a stronger storm hits the region, officials warn.
