Red Rocks Amphitheatre To Welcome Back Live Audiences

MORRISON, CO — Colorado's most iconic venue will once again welcome live audiences.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment granted the Red Rocks Amphitheatre approval to reopen for its 80th anniversary season at a capacity of 2,500 people for each show.

The first performances, by the instrumental electronic jam band Lotus, are scheduled for April 23 and 24, the venue announced Tuesday.

"We’re so excited about the imminent return of live music to #RedRocksCO, and look forward to welcoming you back for a fantastic 80th anniversary summer," Red Rocks said in a Facebook post.

The venue's Ship Rock Grille will remain closed, but concessions will be sold on the Top Plaza.

"Face coverings are required in the amphitheatre and must be kept on your person at all times," the venue said in a message on its website.

"Please know the 2021 schedule may still be subject to change depending on artist availability, tour schedules and Covid-related conditions."
