Man Sentenced In Deadly DUI Crash In Golden
The man was driving without his headlights on in a February snowstorm, authorities said.
GOLDEN, CO — A man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for vehicular homicide after he was involved in a head-on crash that killed a woman and injured three people during a February snowstorm.
William Randolph Lenox, 29, had been drinking and smoking pot before he collided with a southbound Hyundai Santa Fe Feb. 22 on Colo. 93 near Golden Gate Canyon Road, according to the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Margaret Braun, 73, of Littleton, was a passenger in the Hyundai and died at the scene. The three other people who were in the vehicle — William Braun, 76, of Littleton; Nancy Chamberlin, 76, of Lakewood; and James Chamberlin, 75, of Lakewood — all survived, but suffered serious injuries.

Lenox was driving with a blood alcohol content of .136 before the crash, authorities said. Anyone with blood alcohol over .08 percent can be charged with driving under the influence.

Lenox pleaded guilty in June to vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and reckless driving.
