Ozone Alert Day Today, Warm Weekend: Golden Weather

GOLDEN, CO – Blame smoke from out-of-state wildfires for the high the number of fine particulates and increased ozone levels in the air in Metro-Dnenver Friday, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment said. Until 4 p.m. Friday, an Ozone Day Alert has been issued by the Regional Air Quality Council.

Those with respiratory issues or sensitivity are advised to stay indoors.

Areas of smoke. Sunny, with a high near 87. West southwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon.

Areas of smoke. Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. Southeast wind around 7 mph becoming west after midnight.

A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Light and variable wind becoming south southwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
